ORDINANCE SUMMARY

ORDINANCE NO. 227

AN ORDINANCE DEFINING AND REGULATING FENCES

WITHIN THE CITY OF GORHAM, KANSAS

On February 9, 2026, the Governing Body for the City of Gorham, Kansas, adopted Ordinance No. 227, which defines and regulates the height, location and construction material of fences within the City of Gorham.   The ordinance also establishes penalties for violation of the Ordinance.  The Ordinance is effective immediately for newly constructed fences and effective August 15, 2026 for existing fences that do not conform to the ordinance requirements.
